Magical Musicals Coming To Town!
Another West End musical production will be coming to town in June!
Held at the Sunway Lagoon Ampitheatre, the aptly titled Magical Musicals will feature songs from all your favourite musicals! The production will combine songs from Moulin Rouge!, Mamma Mia!, Dreamgirls, Fame, Saturday Night Fever, Grease, Footloose, Wicked, We Will Rock You, West Side Story, Hairspray! Now, didn't I say your FAVORITE??? They certainly are mine!
They will also include songs from the award-winning musical tv series, GLEE! :) So, don't tell me that you didn't hear about this, because I am telling you NOW!! Clear your calender and mark it for June 10th -- The Grand Premiere! :)
It's so perfect for my family!! :) I grew up on musicals such as Grease, Fame, Saturday Night Fever, Footloose (I can do a pretty mean Kevin Bacon dance), and the iconic West Side Story (RIP Natalie Wood - I love you forever!).
Meanwhile, my children are fans of Mamma Mia!, Hairspray and Glee and not to mention.. we are all fans of QUEEN! LOL! My 3 year old daughter demands to listen to Queen's Greatest Hits whenever she's in the car. Among her favorites, are Under Pressure, I Want To Break Free and Radio Gaga!! LOL!
The Magical Musicals opening number is Don't Stop Me Now (from We Will Rock You musical!).
The musical production is directed by Chris Colby - an Artistic Director of the Theatre Royal, Lincoln for 10 years. David Kort (who appeared in the West End production of Peter Pan and also worked for the prestigious Glyndebourne Festival Opera) will be choreographing the musical.
My family and I thoroughly enjoyed the West End production of Peter Pan the Musical held in Sunway Lagoon earlier this year so I definitely do not want to miss out on this!!
