Ever since I was a little girl, I just love to see my mom applying makeup before she goes out. I always thought she was brilliant at it. She put on just the right amount of shadow, blusher, the right lipstick color.. Her makeup always accentuates her features and it doesn't look "too dolled up".
So growing up, the fascination for makeup never ended.. although I hardly knew how to apply it. Then in our teens, my older sister, Syura, bought our "makeup bible" - Bobbi Brown's How To book! I absolutely loved it!
Then when I went to work with Malaysia Airlines, we were sent to grooming class which was a Lancome workshop for 1 whole week. That was one of the best times! My colleagues and I got the chance to learn from professionals, and it felt just like going to Cosmetology School!!
But for those of you really interested in making a career out of it, I heard that Regency Beauty School is one of the best beauty schools in the U.S. It's been around for over 50 years and has 30 campuses in 9 states!
They also have placement relationships, so that when you've graduated, you can start your career by working at salons, cruise ships and if you're absolutely lucky, you might even get to start working runway!! Nowadays, being a celebrity makeup artist can even earn you 5-digit income for a week!! Who wouldn't want that??
