So here I was just battling whether to finish my Transformers: Revenge of The Fallen movie review last night, right.. but I was so sleepy and Today.com just wasn't co-operating with me.
So while I was still blinking sleepily at my monitor.. suddenly, around 4.20am, the quiet sleepy night was broken with a full 5 seconds of screeching brakes then BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM!!!! Then silence.
I immediately ran to Syura's room to look out her window. Seeing nothing, I woke up Syura and told her what happened. I ran back out into the living room and checked out the view from there but didn't really see any signs of accident. Our apartment building is located just by the main road but no windows are facing the road. Then I climbed on the toilet seat to check out the view from the bathroom window (the only window facing the road). I only saw some debris.. and when it was Syura's turn to check it out, she said there was a person lying on the road. From my view, there was no sign of the car wreckage.
So I ran back to the living room window and there, I finally saw what I thought was just debris, a man in what looked like a white tee and jeans lying on the left lane of the road. Someone slowed down to a stop and just drove on. I grabbed my cell to make an emergency call but my cell phone batt just had to die on me!! ARGH!!
So I ran to my room, practically dove over my sleeping husband and kids to get my charger on the bedside table and ran out to charge my phone. I immediately turned it on and called our 999 and after getting down the details they said an ambulance will be on the way. It was 4.24 when I made the call. By that time, another person stopped his car and parked it by the road trying to hail people to slow down and help. But no one stopped. By the time another car stopped, the police had arrived.
Syura saw some movement from Mr. Poor Guy but after that nothing. With the police there, more people started stopping and gathering and seemed to be talking to the victim. I tweeted it immediately and suddenly the twitterverse came alive with concerns about Mr. Poor Guy.

It took some 30 minutes for the ambulance to finally arrive!! OMG! That was super long!! Can you imagine having to wait that long after what "sounded" like such a horrific accident??
Anyways, I'm just glad the police didn't start taking out newspapers 'coz that can only mean one thing. I hope Mr. Poor Guy is alright, though.
After all THAT drama, of course I wasn't sleepy any more and managed to finish my Transformers 2 movie review after all! What a night!!
