The Stalkers
I was just writing about the upcoming movie, Obsessed (starring Beyonce Knowles, Idris Elba and Ali Larter) on my Just Press Play blog, when I just couldn't help but think about being stalked.
I know that having a blog - especially a personal blog makes you very vulnerable and exposed to stalkers. I'm sure everyone out there has silent readers. Sure I don't mind silent readers. In fact I'm flattered that you actually spend time reading my blog.
But then there are also stalkers, non-bloggers who go online just to read one particular blog. Mine.
The people who I never would have thought of reading my blog, are reading my blog. (Don't ask me how I know) And it makes me uncomfortable. Especially those who I once considered my friends.
If I am distancing myself from your life and you from my life, please take a hint. I'm at a point where I need to detoxify my life from negative things - including pretentious hypocrites.
God knows, I'm not perfect.. and my real friends know that. There was a point where I didn't even talk to my BFF Rozie for a whole year. But our friendship is strong enough to survive that. Because true friends support each other - not laugh at my decisions, not talk smack about me, be there for me during the rough patches I was going through. I don't need you to agree with my choices because that would make me one self-absorbed b****. Just be there for me.
But where were these people then?? Doing exactly the opposite of what a friend would do. And you pride yourself in friendship? Give me a second to go.. HAH!!! And now you want to get back in my life why exactly??? I'm not the person that I once was (naive as hell).. so don't bother. Oh and even the person I once was, well, wasn't even the real me to begin with - if that makes sense to you. I was way out of my comfort zone.
You know what? I'll just stop here. This post is getting a little too personal.. even for me. But it was my choice to have this blog and if it makes me susceptible to being stalked, so be it. Let them talk crap about me and run their mouth off until they go blue in the face. I need to let it go. Sure I'm uncomfortable. But it just goes with the territory.
Right now, I'm better off putting my concern on how to wash one of my mother's persian rugs that she gave us for my new place.. (Allie accidentally spilled Milo on it *gasp*) Big UH-OH!
p/s: FYI, this does not apply to my blogging buddies.. and Marzie, venting is definitely good! LOL!

Well I am finally getting a little dropping done for this new blog. I am dealing with a truly slow connection...so everything takes me forever. I will try to get by tonight with TPV. But, it takes me 8 to 9 hours just to get 300 in.....so if I don't make it back now you know why.
