Buddy's 1st Day of Kindergarten
I know I'm not the type of mommy blogger that really actually blogs about my children and what they did today, or any other day. I guess because, as much as I love them, I need my "me" time and I only get that when I blog. :) So don't judge me! :P
But today, my 4 year old son (turning 5 this April) entered kindergarten! He was supposed to enter in January with all the other children his age but we were back in my hometown for a month and after moving more stuff over here, we've finally settled down. So time for Buddy to start kindie. Finally!
He was excited to go but cranky that he had to wake up so early. Kindie starts at 8.30am and he only woke up about 8am. But once he got showered and dressed, he was all smiles!!
He was so excited he didn't even eat his PB&J sandwich.. he just held it. Oh and I totally forgot to bring him for a haircut! He needs one badly!!
My hubby insisted that we send him to school, even if it's less than a 10 minute walk.
Buddy still manages to smile for the cam while trying to block out the early sun rays. :)
Upon reaching the school, he gave his little sister Allie a BIG hug, said a quick bye to me and his father and just left without so much of a backward glance. Hmph!
I followed him in to talk to his teachers, while he was putting away his backpack, took his water tumbler and lunch box and just headed inside. I called him back for one last photo opp and he looked somewhat annoyed+embarassed and just couldn't wait to go in to meet his new friends.
His teacher just laughed and assured me he'll be okay..
So my hubby, Allie and I headed off to breakfast and run some errands.. and close to 10.30am did my hubby and I both realize that we left our cell phones at home! How stupid of us! We were worried that there'll be calls for us that Buddy was crying his eyeballs out.. but upon returning home, there wasn't a single missed call on both our phones! Phew!!
We picked him back up at noon and he was still all smiles... talking about a new friend.. Sasha! Looks like Mommy and Allie aren't his fave gals anymore. LOL!
He's excited to go to school again tomorrow, but poor Allie. She was so sad to see her brother go just now.. :(

Wow...Buddy is such a good kid...most kids I have experienced in teaching, on their first day, would cry/puke/throw tantrum... hahaha...good job mommy Shemah....

Oh congratulations Buddy. Oh my you look so grown up and handsome.

I guess it's coz parents either want to/have to send them to school when they're not emotionally ready yet. Some children are sent to pre-school awfully young..
And yeah, Allie was soooooo sad. She was looking out the window to Buddy's school. :(
@Shinade: Hehehe.. Hi Jackie! :) He told me to tell you that he had a great day! They were taught how to communicate by using walkie talkies and he found it soooo fun that he wants me to get them for him.
And so far, his only friend is Sasha. :) He said there was a boy whose name he forgot. Naturally. Just remembered the girls. LOL!

Ya bahh.. Allie can really come up with the most deep expressions you know. Unlike Buddy who was mainly blur at that age. Allie can be able to convey her feelings without saying a word!

At least Buddy bangun pukul 8am..my son also start schooling at 8.30am..tapi bangun pukul 8.15am ni...hahahah!! The mommy yang awal pagi lagi teriak2 asked him to wake up..
Si Buddy mixed around with gals?? Uiyooo bagusnyaaa..My Son only boys name in his story..teda pulak gal..hehe

@chegu carol: yeaahhhh.. I was anticipating that he'll be quite shy and withdrawn. Skali tu, the teacher said he was very excited and everywhere all at once. LOL! I just hope he doesn't think it's a playground center that I sent him to.

I know it's a big day for Buddy and all, but looking at him and his very happy face, it makes me all teary. I don't know how Syabil would react on his first day of school, and he will start in September. So, Buddy is a year older than Syabil. WHen in April is his birthday? I know your little girl's birthday is the same as mine, and Daryn's birthday is on the 6th April.
For a kindy boy, he sure has a big bag to carry. he looks so cute in the uniform too. :)
