Goodbye October, Hello November!

First of all, before I begin, I'd like to give a shoutout to Papajoneh who is celebrating his birthday today! Did I get that right? I hope so.. hehe.. I hope you have a wonderful birthday, surrounded by your beautiful family. May you be blessed with all the best things in life and may all your dreams come true.. :-)

The start of November marks a new month with the latest addition to my family, my beloved bundle of joy, Zaira Alishya who was born on the 29th of October 2007 at 9.58pm. According to my hubby's watch (which he insists is the "correct" time).. the hospital recorded the birth at 10.01pm. All I knew at that time, was "Boy, am I glad the pain is over!" LOL!

As stated in Syura's post, I was really anticipating the birth of my baby.. but by the 29th, I was still not feeling anything yet. My next appointment with the doctor was on the 31st by which, had I not felt any pain, I would be induced. But it got me thinking, my hubby's leave ended on the 31st and Syura had to go back to KL on the 1st.

So, with the permission of my husband, slight disapproval from Mom, no announcement made to the rest of the family, I called the doc and asked if I could be induced on that day. Since I was 2 days overdue anyways, the doctor agreed. So, while waiting for my hubby to get ready, I "sempat" go to Papajoneh's blog to spam his cbox and drop some comments. Hehehe..

I can't remember what time this was (gotta ask Syura) but yeah.. I was still feeling very chipper and could do maybe 5 somersaults. LOL! (okay.. that's pushing it way too much)

Anyways, I began having some mild contractions at 9pm, around the time my hubby came back from dinner with the family.. Then sometime around 9.20pm the contractions got harder and I was brought to the labour room/operation theatre. By 9.58pm (hubby's time), my lil girl was born!

Here she is, making her first official appearance!! Thanks to my beloved sis Syura, the photographer, without which, this moment will be missed and will prevent me from sharing this with all of you..

There she is.. Finally!! For your viewing pleasure. Stats: 3.41kgs (weight) and 50.5cm (length).

I'd really love to post more pics of Baby Allie but I'd let Syura continue.. After all, it's her pictures.. I promise to post more soon.. Hey, she's only some 72 hours old.. There'll be more time for picture taking sessions!
