Here, I'll share with you, what Dieting for Dummies, has shared with me..
- Eating late at night is sure to pack on the pounds - Not true. The kinds of foods you're eating are the concern, not the clock.
- You can break through a weight-loss plateau by eating fewer calories - The only way to keep your metabolism purring is to exercise.
- Never have seconds. - If you're still hungry after eating at a leisurely pace, go for it.. in moderation, of course.
- Deny your cravings, they're all in your head - You can pack on even more calories by trying to eat around the one thing you truly want.
- Don't eat between meals - Having a snack sized portion of fruits/low-fat yogurt may help lessen your hunger pangs so that you're less likely to overeat at the next meal.
- Eating breakfast makes you hungry all day - Breakfast food that have some protein and a little fat, in addition to complex carbs and sugars, stay with you longer and give you the energy to make it through the morning.
- To lose weight, become a vegetarian - Like any way of eating, a vegetarian diet can be high in fat and cholesterol, low in fiber, or both.
- Fasting for a few days drops the pounds quickly and shrinks your stomach - If you fast, you may drop pounds, but some of that weight will be muscle, and most of it will be water.
- You can eat anything you want as long as it's fat free - Fat-free food are not calorie-free foods. Many have just as many calories as the original versions, and a few have even more, because lots of sugar is needed to replace the way fat tastes and feels in your mouth.
